I've heard that cougars are sometimes grouped with the smaller cats because cougars can purr. Cougars seem pretty big to me! That's such a cute tiger!

Cougars most certainly do purr. They also don't roar and are not of the same genus (panthera) as lions, tigers, leopards, and jaguars. The snow leopard can't roar either, but it is sometimes grouped with the others. The cheetah, too, is not as closely related to the true "big cats". If you go by size alone, a cougar is actually bigger than a leopard on average. Personally, I'd include cougars, snow leopards, and cheetahs with the big cats. Of course, I'm just a cartoonist. As for Champ, the tiger, he was the star of an earlier strip I had done called PAWZ. Lyric and Rhythm were in the same strip, as well. PAWZ is no longer on the internet, and it probably won't ever return. I do plan on some of the characters making cameos from time to time, though.
