And we're off to a rousing start for the month of July, server-wise...

Gah. The CG page won't even load on my computer.
Nice strip!

All the cougars I know can play the X-Box better than me.

There isn't enough about Texas in that sentence.

I hope they have a good dentist at the sanctuary. I have a feeling that Sandusky may need some fillings soon with all the whoppers he consumes!

Happy Independence Day!  (or just "Happy Wednesday", depending on your country of residence)

Apparently, the new ComicGenesis server still isn't fully functional.  They're still working on getting all of the various sites over there, and, until they do, I think the update function is "on hold".  Hopefully, it won't be too much longer.

How much would it cost you per month to have your own website?  (one that handle the traffic of a webcomic)

I haven't really looked into it in depth.  The cost wouldn't be the sole issue, though.  The primary reason I've stuck with ComicGenesis up to this point is the ease of updating.  They do all the work with regards to new strips, archived strips, and calendars.  As I'm still very much a novice when it comes to website coding, I prefer the Keep It Simple Stupid method.

Plus, once the server's up and running, all should be well again.  I plan on giving it a chance.

I have a comic of my own, which I run from my own website. "Comikaze" is what I use for my comic, the updating is easy and automated, and it's quick to set up (and free!). It does all the archives well (as long as two comics don't have the same dates, this messes it up.) Also, I think you can have it auto-update and things.

I hope this helps!

It seems Dusker found something he's particularly good at after all - falling asleep in all sorts of strange places!

The purple feather is neither purple, nor a feather.  At the same time, Rhode Island is neither a road nor an island.

Discuss...

This is the only semi-relevant thing I found on Google:

http://purplefeather.com/why.html

I don't see how this would apply to a Mountain Lion.

Maybe this is an inside joke for Sandusky... please say it's so! I can't bear the thought of the mountain lion/cougar/catamount/... being called a purple feather!

Oh, it be so.  There were over 40 different names for cougar that I came across.  I pared it down to the ones that I could verify through multiple resources.  "Purple feather" was one of those.

Here are a couple of links:

(be sure to have your sound turned up for this one )

Well as long as they call a sabercat a black-death with pointy-quill feather... I think I'd be OK.
