10,000 BC...when catnip covered 40% of the Earth's surface, and, for some reason, every species of animal had large, sabre-like teeth.

Ooh, more funny catnip-induced haze.  No wonder the background in the last two panels looked so pre-historic when I first read the latest strip.

They both look so cute with those long curved fangs.

Fangs really aren't that bad.  Watch out for molars.

You don't say, cats are rather sharp all around.    When I had a cat (sadly she passed away a year ago) my arms were always full of mysterious scratches and gouges in various states of healing, and she was quite small and docile when compared to some other cats.

And regarding the comic, just now noticed that Kashmir's catnip friend seems to be a king cheetah, cool.

Nice to meet you all... um..  I really like the "Ice Age 2" reference on the 3rd.  It was a nice touch!

Welcome, Don!

As for the Ice Age 2 backgrounds, I figured it's better to fit them into the storyline, rather than try and sneak it by for a few weeks.  I'm sure more than a few people would have called me on it (it's happened before).  And, once I figured out how to do screen captures in Vista, I figured it'd save me a lot of time.

Yeah, Ice Age 1 & 2 are funny films, however finding 'original' english versions instead of Finnish dubs was slightly tricky (I hate dubs of all kind), because they are (supposedly) for children and thus are typically dubbed instead of being just subbed.

And while Scott and Ashley look hilarious, I think it would be somewhat painful for a human to have saber teeth coming out of his mouth.

Kissing with saber teeth, heh.    Didn't think of that.

Hmm, Bubbles? Do you mean this film : http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0406282/ ?

Regarding dubbed and translated things, the benefit of living in a small country with a strange language is that barely anybody bothers to make special versions just for us, my grasp of the english language would most likely be very poor or non-existent if I hadn't been exposed to english by computers and movies since I was 10 or so.

No, Bubbles is a band that sang the original soundtrack for Ice Age, they were later pulled from the lame-o album we have here in the US.
