The Anatomy of a Cougar had me laughing out loud this morning... before my wife was awake. I had to clamp a hand (paw?) over my mouth so as not to wake her in the next room.  Well done, John!

I only have my cats here so I could laugh to my heart's content at peace, todays sunday strip was brilliant. And the comment in the lower right corner gave me the strange urge to print it on some inflatable pool toy.

You should do "Anatomy of a husky", unless it's in the works already.

It is indeed in the works.  You'll have to wait a couple of weeks for it, though.  It will be up tomorrow.  I'm still on vacation next week, though.

Everything seems to be working fine on my end.  Anybody else having this issue?

I also got a giggle out of "Anatomy of a Cougar".  I also like the non-canon daily strips.

I've been away from the forum, guiding my new book (Ratha's Courage) to E-publication,
but I have been following the strip.

Hey, I really like the sketched sabercat avatar.  Nice work.

John : So I guessed right (not that it was quite hard).    Got a good laugh out of "Anatomy of a Husky" too, especially the part about the tail.

Hey, thanks. Not done by me, but by one Cameron Nielsen I met on another forum, his gallery.

And it's actually a cropped and downscaled version of this. (Which in itself is a downscaled version of the massive original I commissioned from Cameron   )

BTW, rathacat, I've mentioned this earlier but some time ago I bought the first four books in your Ratha series, unfortunately thanks to this and that I'm only still halfway through the second part. Like them, but Ratha's quite rocky life makes me cringe.

Traced it down to a program on my computer that was doing strange things to input.

Due to a nasty case of either the flu or mad cow disease, John hasn't been able to complete the Monday strip on time.  He has asked me to post this message in his absence.

Monday's strip should be completed by Wednesday.  Wednesday's strip should be available on Friday, and Friday's strip will be replaced with a rerun of Who's the Boss.  Or, it may appear on Sunday.

John hopes you all can understand the necessity for this extended layoff.  It becomes difficult to create a comic strip when one cannot get out of bed at all.

If desired, donations can be made in John's name to SRAMCD (Sandusky Readers Against Mad Cow Disease).

I intend to live forever.  So far, so good.

I have mad cow disease too... Or at least I'm pegged as a "carrier". It's kinda fun actually!

Same here, I'm squirming in anticipation and suffering from serious Sandusky withdrawal symptoms even catnip can't alleviate.

Hope you are better already, John, being bedridden is unfun.

Yup, Aloe can be soothing to burns, but I've never actually used it on cuts and happy puma scratches.

In related news, my wife and I went to the Oklahoma City Zoo last Saturday and while there got to watch two cougars snoozing in the shade right beside the edge of the enclosure. Nice closeup view of the cats and you could almost hear them purr from the contented look on their faces.
