Bobcat personality is spot on John...  Not too smart, and scatterbrained.

Thanks!  While the personalities of cheetahs, tigers, and even huskies are still somewhat foreign to me, I do feel pretty confident with those of cougars and bobcats.

Also, if a serval ever appears in the strip, I'll be in pretty good shape there, too.

LOL! Ran around in circles... Just about right. Now if there was only a paper towel roll...

Bobcat Golthwait ... I should have realized he would somehow make an appearance.

I see the bobcat has a past! Now why would someone leave such a great little guy in the desert? Maybe it was the couch, the love seat, the toilet paper rolls, the paper towels, the carpet, the kitchen table, the mini-blinds, the clothes, the shoes and the incessant licking.

Naw.... couldn't be.

I'm not smiling... I'm hungry.

So, Simba's a licker now, huh?  I told you to watch out for that.  He'll take you out one layer of skin at a time if he has to.

Yeah, it's horrible. He's incessant as well. Very determined to get that last layer of skin...

This is taking me back a number of years to when I had my own bob (female) named Guinevere.
Unfortunately, the breeder I got her from seemed to have weaned her off the bottle just a little bit too early, and so she had this thing with kneading and sucking your hand or your arm while you slept.
As she got older, she started a few of the other annoying tame bob behaviours as well, such as burying her head in your armpits and rubbing her nose in there.  And if you tried to gently push her head away, she would growl.  UGH.
Talk to other bobcat owners, and they'll tell you that's a common behaviour.  Bobs are very smell oriented, which also leads to other things like the classic bobcat 'butt-greeting', and their need to start marking (i.e., peeing on), you when they get older.
I'll also say that she was incredibly forward and cuddly, though.  Always very purry except when she wanted to get her head under your arms.

Ok, Goldthwait certainly isn't the sharpest claw in the paw. Loved the way how Sandusky casually grabs him from his tail and keeps him from running in circles any longer.

He's so small and cuddly, I guess you can't hide a great intellect in that little fuzzy head.

Yeah, I can attest to the incessant headbutting as well. Sometimes mine can give quite a thump. He doesn't do the armpit thing though. And he's not into the hand sucking, although he does go for earlobes... it's odd.
No peeing either after his operation... but before that, he was pretty bad.
3 years now and counting (the shredded toilet paper and Lay-Z-Boy) I wouldn't trade it for anything though.

Agreed on the affectionate side too...

Poor Bobcat... I feel bad for him! Cage in the garage? That doesn't seem right at all!

I wonder how he catches food without any claws?  Must be a very good hunter, to just use his teeth.  I guess wolves do that, bu then they hunt in packs.

He's a cute bobcat.

Maybe they can make a pair of prosthetic claws for him.

I figured I'd put off answering that question until today's strip was posted.  Hopefully, that solves the riddle.

Also, I'd been out of town visiting family in Pittsburgh for the past four days.

That does solve the riddle.  Looks like you were ahead of me on that one.
