Holy cow, it's already July?!

In case you can't figure out what Sandusky's doing in that last panel, it's the famous decapitated thumb trick.  Ooohhh...magic!

Those are not my hands, by the way.

Yep. The 4th is this Friday and that means two important things-short work week and on Wednesday, we get a free feed from the Clerk of the Superior Court here. Every 4th of July and Christmas, the Clerk's office has a party during the lunch hours with food and drink provided by the office.

Well, is that really John in the picture?  The person is wearing what looks like a wedding ring.

Well, John already said that those weren't his hands. As for declawing cats, I oppose it and have never had any cat of mine declawed. The day that I do that is the day that I cut the ends of each of my fingers off-all the way to the first joint.

Oops, I was still living in last month, moved my ill-fated post here.

Forced to live in a cage, then in a windowless garage, sustaining himself on dog food which probably does not work well for a feline. Declawed and likely 'fixed' too, gaah, what a life.    I'm thinking Sandusky has cold shivers going down his spine from the mere thought of losing his claws.

And the look on Goldtwaith's face in the last panel when he comments about the pain is pure gold, that's how I'd look too if I had to recall such memories.

When I had my pet rats, I noticed that their claws were getting sharp, so I bought a claw trimmer from the store.  Later, I realized that I had forgotten how small their paws are.  I could accidentally take their whole arm off with that thing!

So, I just gave the claw trimmer to a lady next door.  She works at a vet's office, and she regularly takes animals home so they don't have to spend the night in the kennel area.

Hmmm...
Marrying off Scott so early in the life of the scrïpt.  I think I just heard Al Capp roll over in his grave. :P
After all, he managed to milk the unrequited tension between Abner and Daisy Mae for almost twenty years before giving in to the demands of fans, and letting them get married. :P

Perhaps art imitates life - is there a future Mrs. Prengaman out there?

It's my tail. Don't you know it's rude to point?

Well, this should create more interesting dynamics-Scott and Ashley as a married couple and Sierra moving in with her brother and adopted brother. Add Sandusky's sister and her cubs and you've got a potential houseful.

She's somewhere out there, but apparently she's hiding from me.  I can't find her anywhere.

I'm not sure how Sierra (not to mention the neighbors) is going to feel about that.

Maybe Sierra would be satisfied to just visit ever so often.

Well, Ashley's her owner so it's only natural that she and Scott would live together, thus requiring Sierra to live with Scott, Bunker and Dusker. Dusker she can manage, but occasional visits from Champ, Kash and Sedona and her kids (especially at the same time) might be a little too much, even for her.

agreed.  I think both Sierra and Bunker will need a K9 version of catnip with all the kats that are gathering at their house!

PS: I just noticed I'm late congratulating you John for achieving 300+ strips!

Sierra doesn't exactly seem thrilled about this.

Thanks!  I didn't even consciously recognize that fact, and I'm the one who types in the new number every day!

I think my big celebration will come once I hit 365 strips.  That way, I'll have a strip for every day of the year.
