I think the tigers have a lot more room to play than is shown on these cams, so sometimes they aren't there.

Those cameras are great!  I've been to the DC zoo a number of times.  Best part, it's free!  Unfortunately, there isn't much more room than that for them to play.  They seem to enjoy what they have, though, and they do play a lot.

While it isn't huge, the enclosure is great for photo ops.  These photos are of one of their Sumatran Tigers.  Unfortunately, I lost the original files in a hard drive crash a few years back, so these had to be re-scanned.  They were both taken in 2001, so I don't know if the same cat is still there or not.  I'm not sure why the one picture says 2005, but I'm too lazy to fix it.
