Indeed, I am both a mountain lion and a cougar, not to mention a puma, a panther, a painter, a deer tiger, a catamount, a mexican lion, a mountain screamer, a red tiger, a purple feather, a deercat, a king cat, a mountain devil, a silver lion, and a sneak cat. Scott says it's because cougars can be found in very diverse regions, and have been named different things by all sorts of different cultures. I shudder to think of where the term "purple feather" came from. ;) I'm good with being called either a mountain lion or a cougar, as they're both pretty cool sounding names.

I still think "black pointy quill feather of death" would be a much better name. ![]()
