To Sabercat,  Yes, Razor is definitely Smilodon. On steroids.

To John,

I made a Photobucket account and have the avatar there.  I just gotta get it over here.

I kinda figured that Sandusky and Kashmir were going to run into mouth-opening problems with those sabers. Well, they can always hallucinate their original sets of choppers back again.

Rathacat: You wrote something that rang a fairly large bell with me. Specifically...

"BTW, I do a series of books about cougar and cheetah-like prehistoric big cats called the Ratha series."

I remember reading one of those, I think. It involved a black leopard, living in the time of the Egyptians, who happened to be a companion to Tutankhamen, yes?

I don't have it handy at the moment, so I don't recall the exact title.

Let me know? Thanks.

Not to step on Rathacat's toes, but I believe the book to which you're referring was called Tomorrow's Sphinx.

Here are some others that may ring a bell.  ;)

If you click on "Profile" up near the top of the page, you can edit your profile.  Just go to "edit your profile" and scroll down to the avatar section.  You can just put in the address right there.  For instance, this is mine: http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g196/sandusky_01/john.jpg.

Don't use that one, though.  Things might get confusing around here.

Thank you! Yes, that's the one. I recall that it was a heck of a good story, if a bit sad in places.

Good Heavens... Clare Bell's a member of the board? I guess I shouldn't be too surprised.

Keep the peace(es).

Hi guys!  Got my avatar up.  It is from the cover art of the Ratha's Creature reprint.

Thanks, John.  You are right, it is Tomorrow's Sphinx.  And no toes have been stepped on.

Hey, Sandusky! Got your books.  As soon as I got the package out of the PO and into my car, I took a glance.  I had planned to read them lesurely at home, but ... you guessed it.  I devoured the first one in the car and had a hard time keeping myself from doing the same with the other two.
When I did get them home, I had as much fun with them as you did with the catnip.  But the only sabers were the ones in the comic.

Looking forward to more mountain-lion madness and other big-cat shenanigans.
