Hey Jon,

In an art and story rut here, so I drew a quick little fanart thing.  Sorry sandusky looks nothing like himself.  I had another sketch that was better but lost it :P

Thanks so much, Moon!  I love it!

As for Sandusky not looking like himself, I think that's what makes it even better.  He looks enough like himself to let me know who he is, but he's still definitely in your style.

I hope you get out of your art and story rut!  I think it's just a matter of getting to know your characters.  Now that I know Sandusky and Bunker like I do, I have no trouble writing their stories.  I just throw them into a situation, and they write all of their own stuff.

Awww I'm glad you like it!  *hugs* Merry Christmas!

The more I look at it the dodgier it is.  I should get a decent sketch of Bunker and Sandusky I'll get that one colored  Though I love Kashmir!  <3

And you make it sound so easy, Mr. 200+ panels of comics :P

You're an inspiration to me to get started though I have restarted 4 times now.  It really isn't easy to me :P  I do have my characters written down.  I have pages and pages of story, a timeline, a world draft.  Heck even a rudimentary MAP, but I'm such a freak when it comes to details.

If you want to give me tips or just kick me to do something that would be cool.  I am starting to think I'm over obsessive and may need extra help on the story and/or art.

Who wouldn't like it, you have a great style! Is Whisper a female cougar?

When you get your comic started I'm certainly going to check it out.

And I can relate with you, while I'm not an artist I often judge my own work too critically, obsess over details and can't get started unless everything is 'just right'.

aww thanks meck  Yea she is female and is my online avatar

I have 6 main cats, 3 male 3 female.

Cougar, tiger, clouded leopard (females)
Cheetah/Lion (not a hybrid, but... well the story will explain), Jaguar, Snow Leopard (males)

I guess it is similar to Ratha's Creatures though I've never read and want to read, the book.

And glad we can relate!  <3  Hope to find more people to relate to when I get my comic started.  I will probably obsess over every tiny thing :P

No need to thank me, I have a weakness for non-anthro felines, especially females, and your drawing is so nice that I felt obligated to compliment you.

For the same reason I'm rather partial to Sandusky, my list for decent non-anthro comics which upgrade regularly is much too short.

Sounds interesting, three males and three females.

And no wonder Sabre is so large and bulky (I found the cast picture from your Livejournal) for a cheetah, being part lion explains it.

I bumped into the Ratha series too in this forum, I'm going to get my paws on it at some point, though it looks like I'm going to have to buy it somewhere if I want to do that (so far I've found only one library in Finland that carries any Ratha books, and they only have a single copy of Ratha's Creature     ).

Well, you made me wonder for a moment if you were channeling me.

I've been told the best place to find her books is on Amazon.com, as I, too, have been unsuccessful finding them locally.

Bug away!  You can send it to prengaman (at) cox (dot) net or john (at) sanduskycomic (dot) com.  Both of them are redirected to my BlackBerry, so I'll get them either way.

So it seems, have to set up an account there at some point. Though Amazon carries solely paperbacks of her books and I'm not very keen on buying paperback versions of books I'm intending to keep.

We have them here locally! Of course, it helps that the author lives like 60 miles away!

To continue this thread, I'm now the proud owner of the first three volumes of the Ratha series, fourth is still en-route and fifth was out of stock at Amazon so I have no idea when I'll be getting that one.

All used hardbacks in good condition, they arrived just in time for me to spend my weekend reading them and I get to put the Wildcat Haven bookmark into good use as well.

Coolio! I'll have to check out the books too at some point... seeing as how the author is local here, I have no excuse!

I haven't read the ratha series yet but will soon.  I think i'd like to investigate Metailurus more than Dinaelurus crassus for a cheetah alternative.  There is more information about this cat in chinese.  but the skulls look very similar to acinonyx when compared to others.

Anyways some more art.
This is just a quick sketch of a sabretooth I did.

But the title of the link "dumbsabre" needs something. I can see "dumbfox" but not a dumbsabre.

The "dumb" part is pretty understandable when looking at the picture, fitting a peanut-sized brain into a head like that would be a challenge.
