I've seen pictures of Servals and domestic cats cuddling together.  Do domestic kitties get along with other Kats?  I'm guessing it would only be the smaller ones.  I've read that wild cougars will sometimes eat cats (yikes).

I'm guessing that you, as a more domesticated cougar, have a more "enlightened" view of kitties.

To be honest, I haven't met too many "domestic" kitties.  I had no trouble hanging out with Goliath when I was out at Kashmir's sanctuary, though.  And I certainly had no intention of eating him.

Dickens, on the other hand...  ;)

I've met a few servals who enjoy hanging out with domestic cats.  There were actually more issues with some of the domestic cats beating up on the servals than the other way around.

I'm sure that if they were brought up together, just about any big cat would, at the very least, tolerate a domestic cat as a roommate.  I wouldn't necessarily throw them together when they're adults.  However, if it were captive big cats, there's a decent chance that it would simply be a "curiosity factor".  The instinct to chase is still there, but it'd probably just be a lot of batting with the paws.

I can attest to the curiosity factor. The domestics though don't know how to react, other than to run, which then institutes a game of chase, which inevitably results in bad feelings.

But Dickens isn't a cat... he's more like an overgrown mouse.

More like an overgrown louse, I'd say. 'Course, getting the wits scared out of him from a cougar serves him right for sticking his nose in where it shouldn't be.
