I heard that taxes become a lot more complicated when you have a home-based business.  Have you run into that yet, John?

Um... no.  I've only brought in a few hundred bucks in the 9 months of Sandusky, and a good part of that was from two very generous commissioners.  I certainly couldn't call that a home-based business.  I've spent a good deal more than that on art supplies, stamps, and printer cartridges in that same time span.  And that's not even taking into account the time I spend working on it.

There are very few strips out there that can turn any sort of a profit - at least to the point of having to claim it on their taxes.  Most of us are losing money doing this.  If the IRS came after me about that, I'd be all for it.

Taxes suck... there's that little meter on the side of the screen for turbo tax. It went from positive 3000 to negative 2500 with one click...
The sad thing is it stayed at negative 2500...

I wonder if I can qualify Simba as a dependent...

He should certainly qualify as something.

A liability! Definitely and expense! And a write-off as far as training.
