I've run into a bit of a snag with the ordering process.  Unfortunately, the printers I'm using are unable to find any properly sized (and properly priced) paper to make the covers for an 8.5"x11" paperback book.  With a wrap-around cover (including the spine), we'd be looking for something at least 11"x19".  I've found some at sizes that would work.  However, neither I nor the printers can afford what they're wanting to charge for it.  

To make a long story short, it looks as though the 100 page paperback book is going to turn into two separate 50 page "comic books".  That means there will be three books in all.  The new Sandusky comic will remain in color, and the two volumes of the online strips will remain in glorious black and white.  All of the content will remain the same - the packaging will just be a little different.

I could have kept everything in one book, but that would have required me to shrink the strips down to only 6" wide (with the trim factors taken into account).  It's one thing to go from color to black and white, but it's another thing to shrink things almost to the point of not being illegibility.

And look at it this way, with an extra cover in the mix, you'll get another colored picture out of the deal.  ;)

sounds good, John.  so now it feels like an even better deal -- 3, count'em 3! books instead of 2.  and I for one appreciate your concern for legibility.  even with new reading specs, these old eyes just don't see as well as they used to!
