I just realized that BUNKER and DUSKER are only two letters apart.

And I just realized it was May.  smile/eek.gif  Thanks for starting the new topic!

To tell you the truth, I had the same realization (Bunker/Dusker) just a couple of weeks ago.  It's funny how things like that work out.

Do we even want to know where Rhythm got those boxes?

Thought not.

i am so luving lyric and rhythm.

Are we poised to get more background on these characters through the story or can you share some of your thoughts about the characters here?

They come across as really young by the font your using for them.

I'll be waiting for your reply in the fort with Lyric.

Rhythm's not the sharpest tool in the shed, but he is resourceful.  What the resource for a bunch of cardboard boxes was, I haven't the foggiest.  ;)

For those of you who don't know, Lyric and Rhythm were characters in my original webcomic, PAWZ.  They are South American maned wolves, which are basically "foxes on stilts".  Unlike El Guapo, they grew up in captivity at the local zoo.  I'll be getting into their backgrounds a bit more as the strips move along.  For right now, I'll just let you know that they are brother and sister.  Lyric got the brains, and Rhythm got the... um... well... Rhythm just enjoys being alive.

I'm guessing that there's no web archive of PAWZ.

No, PAWZ is no longer available on the web.  I still have the strips on my computer, but I don't have any intentions on putting them back up for viewing.

Perhaps they may be viewable once again 40 years from now, once there's a Peanuts-like retrospective of Sandusky.  ;)

Between Rhythm and Lyric, who's the male and who's the female?

I had a dog once who similarily wasn't the "sharpest tool in the shed", and wasn't expecially resourceful (why should she be; she had everything she wanted), but she really did seem to enjoy life.  I always figured her motto was "I'm happy; I'm a dog."

Rhythm is the not-so-bright male.  Lyric got the bulk of the brains.

That's pretty much Rhythm's motto, as well.

I get the feeling that there's got to be at least one bobcat at this facility as well.  If there's two, maybe they're named Cheech and Chong. :P

The answer to one of those is yes and the answer to the other is no.  You'll have to wait to find out which is which.

Great webcomic.  I think I found it from a link on Faux Pas.
From this strip, it looks like Entwhistle should have been the one named Scooter.  ;)

That's true.    There are some deeper backstories for these wolves.  They would explain the names a bit more, but I'm not sure when or if I'm going to explore those.  Moving the plot forward is more important to me than a whole bunch of filler strips.

OK, sometimes it's not as important.  ;)

For those of you who don't know, Scooter and Skeeter are named after a couple of Muppet Babies.
